Gerry Dulac reports that the Steelers are expected to release G Willie Colon and designate him for June 1 release.
Dulac adds that this would save them $5.5 million in cap space.
The problem is that the Steelers won’t have that cap space until June 1. This was reported as a possibility yesterday, so it comes as little surprise. Pittsburgh locked up G Ramon Foster yesterday.
