The Pittsburgh Steelers announced they have released RB Isaac Redman.
Redman, 24, has been a primary backup running back for the Steelers this season, which isn’t all that surprising when you consider that they took Le’Veon Bell in the second-round of this year’s draft.
Redman did get the get the start in Week 1, but lost a fumble on totaled just eight yards on seven carries before being benched. Redman is currently averaging an atrocious 1.2 yards-per-carry on the season.
Though being a healthy scratch, Redman has not played since Week 2 after suffering a concussion against the Bengals. Felix Jones and Jonathan Dwyer will provide depth behind Bell.
