James Palmer of CSNHouston.com reports that the Texans have signed forner NT Jerrell Powe to a contract.
Powe, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2011. He spent a few years with now Texans DC Romeo Crennel in Kansas City, so the Texans should have a pretty good idea of what Powe brings to the table.
The Chiefs ultimately decided to not place a restricted tender on Powe a few weeks ago, which made him an unrestricted free agent.
Last year, appeared in just one game and totaled two tackles and a single sack.
