Tania Ganguli of ESPN reports that the Texans have signed former Dolphins S Chris Clemons to a two-year contract.
Clemons, 28, recorded 62 tackles, 8 passes defended, and 1 interception and also graded out as the No. 19 safety in the league last season, according to ProFootball Focus.
Clemons signing means that the Texans will now have a defensive backfield consisting of Clemons, S Daniel Manning, andย D.J. Swearinger. Manning figures to slide into the strong safety position while Clemons fits into the free safety slot.
