Ryan Grant Could Return To Redskins?

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports mentions that free agent WR Ryan Grant is “very popular” and “well liked” within the Redskins and it’s possible that he could return to Washington.

Grant failed his physical with the Ravens on Thursday and his four-year, $29 million contract is now null and void. He will have to find another deal with another team willing to pass him on his physical.

Adam Schefter reports that the specific injury that led to the failed physical was an ankle injury that dated back to the Redskins’ final regular-season game.

Grant, 27, is a former fifth-round pick by the Redskins out of Tulane in the 2014 NFL Draft. He just finished a four-year, $2,433,612 rookie contract and is testing the open market for the first time in his NFL career.

In 2017, Grant appeared in all 16 games for the Redskins and recorded 45 receptions for 573 yards receiving (12.7 YPC) and four touchdowns. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 57 out of 116 qualifiers.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
