The New Orleans Saints officially waived LB Adam Bighill and released OT Bryce Harris and promoted RB Daniel Lasco from the practice squad.
- The Saints also placed LB Nathan Stupar on injured reserve.
Harris, 28, originally signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Fresno State back in 2012. He later joined the Saints before the start of the 2012 season and spent three years in New Orleans before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season.
The Falcons later signed Harris to a contract, but he was unfortunately among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason last year.
Harris had brief stints with the Jaguars and Dolphins before he signed on with the Saints. He’s been on and off of the Saints’ roster this year.
In 2017, Harris has been active for two games for the Saints.
Bighill, 28, wound up going undrafted out of Central Washington back in 2011 and eventually agreed to a deal with the BC Lions. He was a four-time All Star during his CFL career.
The Saints brought Bighill in a for a workout following last season and wound up signing future/reserve contract this past January. Unfortunately, the Saints cut him loose coming out of the preseason before adding him to their practice squad a few days later.
New Orleans called Bighill earlier this year before waiving him and later re-signing him to their practice squad. He was promoted to their active roster last week.
During his CFL career, Bighill recorded 489 tackles, 33 sacks, eight interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown and eight forced fumbles over the course of 99 games and six seasons.
