The New Orleans Saints are promoting WR Bennie Fowler and DL Margus Hunt to their active roster for Monday’s game against the Raiders, according to Field Yates.
Hunt, 32, is a former second-round pick of the Bengals back in 2013. He played out his four-year, $3,671,100 rookie contract with the Bengals before agreeing to a two-year contract with the Colts for the 2017 season.
Hunt returned to the Colts last year on a two-year, $9 million contract, but was unfortunately released in March in a move that cleared $4 million of available cap space for Indianapolis. He signed a one-year deal with the Saints but was released coming out of camp.
From there, Hunt signed on to the Saints’ practice squad before promoting him last week.
In 2020, Hunt has appeared in one game for the Saints and recorded one tackle and no sacks.
