Nick Underhill of the Advocate reports that the Saints have promoted LB Adam Bighill to their active roster on Monday.
- Herbie Teope confirms the news and adds that the Saints have waived OT Bryce Harris.
Bighill, 28, wound up going undrafted out of Central Washington back in 2011 and eventually agreed to a deal with the BC Lions. He was a four-time All Star during his CFL career.
The Saints brought Bighill in a for a workout following last season and wound up signing future/reserve contract this past January. Unfortunately, the Saints cut him loose coming out of the preseason before adding him to their practice squad a few days later.
During his CFL career, Bighill recorded 489 tackles, 33 sacks, eight interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown and eight forced fumbles over the course of 99 games and six seasons.
