According to Luke Johnson, the Saints have re-signed exclusive rights free agent LB Vince Biegel for the 2019 season.
- Herbie Teope reports that the Saints have re-signed exclusive rights free agent LS Zach Wood to a one-year, $645,000 contract for the 2019 season.
- Nick Underhill reports that the Saints have also re-signed ERFA C Cameron Tom.
Biegel, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Packers back in 2017. He spent just over a year in Green Bay before he was waived coming out of the preseason last year.
The Saints later signed Biegel to their practice squad before eventually promoting him to their active roster.
In 2018, Biegel appeared in 14 games for the Saints and recorded four tackles and no sacks.
Wood, 26, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Methodist back in 2016. He was waived at the start of the regular season but returned to Dallas on a futures contract in 2017.
Unfortunately, the Cowboys once again cut Wood loose coming out of the preseason and he caught on with the Saints a week later.
In 2018, Wood appeared in all 16 games for the Saints.
