According to Nick Underhill, the Saints signed free agent TE Ethan Wolf on Wednesday.
The Saints also waived DB Tino Ellis with an injury designation.
Underhill points out that New Orleans brought in Wolf for a workout on Monday alongside four other tight ends, so they were clearly impressed enough to sign him of the group.
Wolf, 23, originally signed on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee back in May of 2018. He was waived at the start the season and caught on with the Packers’ practice squad.
He had short stints with the Panthers and Jaguars before returning to Green Bay’s taxi squad in October of last year.
The Rams signed him to their practice squad in December and re-signed him to a futures contract but was cut loose last month.
During his college career at Tennessee, Wolf caught 91 passes for 996 yards receiving and seven touchdowns over the course of four seasons and 44 games.
