According to Mike Triplett of ESPN, the Saints have signed veteran OT Tony Hills.
It is worth mentioning that RG Jahri Evans underwent a knee scope recently and will miss a period of time. Given this situation, the addition of Hills provides depth to the Saints’ offensive line.
Hills, 30, is a former fourth-round pick of the Steelers back in 2008. He spent two years in Pittsburgh before brief stops with the Broncos, Colts, Bills, Raiders, Dolphins and Cowboys.
The Panthers signed him to a contract back in July to bolster their offensive tackle depth for training camp. However, he was among their final roster cuts before joining the Ravens in recent weeks.
Last year, Hills appeared in three games for the Cowboys, but played a total of five snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
