According to Nick Underhill, the Saints tried out veteran OL Khalif Barnes on Monday.
- Underhill adds that it doesn’t seem like the Saints will sign Barnes.
- The Saints also workedย QB Ricky Stanzi, G Todd Herremans, TE Bear Pascoeย and TE Jack Tabb on Monday.
Barnes, 34, is a former second-round pick by the Jaguars of the 2005 NFL Draft. He spent four years with Jacksonville before signing with the Raiders in 2009.
Barnes spent the past seven years with Oakland before joining the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
This is the first reported interest in Barnes since becoming a free agent.
According to Pro Football Focus, Barnes appeared in 115 snaps for the Raiders in a reserve role last season.
