Saints Waive QB Ryan Griffin

The New Orleans Saints have placed QB Ryan Griffin on waivers Tuesday, according to Field Yates of ESPN.

• This gives them the roster spot they needed to sign veteran K Shayne Graham.

There was talk that Griffin could end up beating out veteran Luke McCown for the Saints’ backup job behind Drew Brees, so we’ll have to see if a quarterback-needy team decides to sign him to their active roster in the coming days.
