Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Saints have informed WR Joe Morgan that he’s being placed on waivers.
- According to Rapoport, the Saints are expected to make even more roster cuts beyond this.
- Rapoport adds that more than 10 players were called individually into HC Sean Payton’s office for review.
This news probably should come as much of a surprise given how poorly the Saints have played across the board this year. Last weekend, they lost 41-10 to the Panthers and they currently have won just five out of 13 games this season.
Morgan, 26, signed a one-year contract worth $495,000 with the Saints back in March. He has appeared in five games and caught just four passes for 92 yards receiving to go along with one rush for 67 yards.
