Seahawks Signed DT Ahtyba Rubin To A Three-Year, $12M Deal

Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports that the Seahawks and veteran DT Ahtyba Rubin have agreed to a three-year contract.

• Garafolo adds that Rubin receives $4 million per year as part of this agreement, so it’s a three-year, $12 million contract.

Rubin, 29, is a former sixth-round pick of the Browns back in 2008. He spent seven years in Cleveland before signing a one-year deal with the Seahawks last year.

In 2015, Rubin appeared in all 16 games for the Seahawks and recorded 36 tackles, two sacks, an interception, and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 80 interior defensive lineman out of 123 qualifying players.
