Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that the Seahawks are also hosting free agent RB Robert Turbin for a visit on Monday along with Marshawn Lynch following the injuries to Chris Carson and C.J. Prosise.
According to Fowler, there’s a “good chance” a deal between Seattle and Turbin could get done.
The Seahawks actually brought Turbin in for a workout last week, so he’s clearly been on their radar as a potential addition.
Turbin, 29, is a former fourth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2012. He was waived by the Seahawks during the 2015 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Browns.
He had short stints with Cleveland and the Cowboys before signing with the Colts in 2017 and was re-signed to a two-year, $2.7 million contract. However, Indianapolis elected to move on from him in November of last year.
This is the first reported interest in Turbin since he worked out for the Raiders back in April.
In 2018, Turbin has appeared in two games for the Colts and rushed for 10 yards on four carries (2.5 YPC) to go along with one reception for three yards and no touchdowns.
