Seahawks Signing Veteran DE Erik Walden

Adam Schefter reports that the Seahawks are signing veteran DE Erik Walden to a contract on Wednesday.

Walden was among a group of veteran pass rushers to work out for the Seahawks a few weeks ago, so he was clearly on their radar as a potential addition.

Walden, 32, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2008. He lasted just a few months in Dallas before he was waived at the start of the 2008 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Chiefs.

Walden eventually ended up in Miami where he played two seasons before the Packers signed him to a contract in 2010. After three years in Green Bay, Walden departed for a four-year, $16,000,000 contract with the Colts.

In 2017, Walden appeared in all 16 games for the Titans and recorded 36 tackles, four sacks, and a fumble recovery.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
