The Seahawks officially placed CB Tharold Simon and RB Taniela Tupou on waivers Tuesday.
Simon, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2013. He’s currently in the final year of his  four-year, $2.367 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary $675,000 for the 2016 season.
In 2015, Simon appeared in just one game, due to injuries.
