The Seattle Seahawks announced Tuesday that they’ve waived rookie WR Gary Jennings and activated rookie G Phil Hayes from the physically unable to perform list.
The Seahawks were reportedly prepared to waive Jennings last month, but later opted to hold on to him.
Jennings, 22, was drafted by the Seahawks out of West Virginia in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year rookie deal worth $3,230,930 with a $710,930 signing bonus.
Jennings has yet to catch a pass in the NFL.
During his four-year college career, Jennings caught 168 passes for 2294 yards (13.7 YPC) and 17 touchdowns in 45 games.
