The Pittsburgh Steelers claimed DB Jhavonte Dean off of waivers from the Browns on Tuesday and waived DB Brian Allen (injury designation) and DB Herb Waters (injured reserve).
Should Allen clear waivers tomorrow, he would revert to the Steelers injured reserve list.
Dean, 23, signed with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Miami following the 2019 draft. He signed a three-year, $1.755 million contract but was placed on waivers Monday.
Dean has three tackles so far this preseason for Cleveland.
During his two years at Miami, Dean recorded 28 total tackles, three interceptions and two pass defenses in 16 games.
