According to Brooke Pryor, the Steelers are placing DL Chris Wormley on injured reserve after sustaining a knee injury in Week 7 and promoted RB Trey Edmunds, S Antoine Brooks Jr, and LB Jayrone Elliott from the practice squad.
Wormley, 26, was selected by the Ravens in the third round out of Michigan in 2017. He’s in the final year of his four-year, $3,298,644 rookie contract.
The Steelers acquired Wormley and a 2021 seventh-round pick back in March in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
In 2020, Wormley has appeared in six games and recorded three total tackles and no sacks.
