According to Jeremy Fowler, the Steelers are among the interested teams in free agent WR Tyrell Williams.
Michael Gehlken adds that the Raiders are also interested in Williams, even after trading for Antonio Brown.
Yesterday, Jason La Canfora reported that Williams remains “far and away” the best outside receiver available this year with the Colts, Browns, Jets and Bills among the teams to watch.
Williams, 27, wound up signing on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Western Oregon back in 2015. He managed to make the Chargers’ 53-man roster the past two years and returned to Los Angeles on a one-year restricted tender worth $2.914 million for the 2018 season.
In 2018, Williams appeared in all 16 games for the Chargers and caught 41 passes for 653 yards receiving and five touchdowns. He also rushed for 15 yards on two carries. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 66 receiver out of 117 qualifying players.
We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
