Report: Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell Will Return For Week 4

Update:

Jay Glazer reports that Steelers expect to have rookie RB Le’Veon Bell back for Week 4’s game against the Vikings.

According to Glazer, Pittsburgh considered holding Bell out past their bye week, but he has apparently healed faster than they thought and, assuming he doesn’t suffer any setbacks this week, he’ll play in his first regular season game.

Scott Brown reports that Steelers rookie RB Le’Veon Bell was able to practice for the second straight day and “isn’t ruling out playing Sunday.”

Bell will still need to put together a solid showing in practice to even have a shot of suiting up against the Bears this weekend. It is, however, another positive sign for the young running back, as it appears that his foot sprain has healed faster than some expected it would.

We’ll have more leading up kickoff on Sunday.

Mark Kaboly reports that Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell practiced in full on Thursday.

Bell remained limited on Wednesday, so this is clearly a positive sign for his status moving forward. He did, however, mention that he’s unlikely to play against the Bears in Week 3.

It’s still too early to speculate whether or not he could be available for Week 4, but we’ll certainly monitor the situation in the coming days.
