The Pittsburgh Steelers officially re-signed RB Brandon Brown-Dukes to a contract and placed RB Rushel Shell on waivers.
Brown-Dukes, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Mercyhurst back in May of last year. He was, unfortunately, waived coming out of the preseason but was added to the Steelers’ practice squad at the start of the season.
The Steelers signed him to a future/reserve contract this past January but cut him loose shortly after this year’s draft.
During the preseason, Brown-Dukes appeared in three games for the Steelers and rushed for seven yards on six carries to go along with two receptions for 15 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
