The Steelers announced Tuesday they have signed RB Trey Edmunds back to the active roster.

Pittsburgh had an open spot on the roster after placing TE Vance McDonald on the COVID-19 list. Edmunds was just waived by the team Saturday.
Edmunds, 25, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Maryland back in 2017 and managed to make the 53-man roster. He is in the second year of his Signed a three-year, $1.66 million contract when the Saints waived him coming out of the preseason.
From there, Edmunds signed on with the Steelers and has been on and off of their roster ever since.
In 2019, Edmunds appeared in 11 games for the Steelers and rushed for 92 yards on 22 carries (4.2 YPC) to go along with six receptions for 48 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
