Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Steelers are releasing P Jordan Berry on Monday.
Adam Schefter adds that the Steelers are signing former Chiefs P Dustin Colquitt to a one-year contract. Colquitt tried out for Pittsburgh last week.
Berry, 29, signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2015. He was undrafted out of Eastern Kentucky. He signed a one-year extension before the 2018 season worth $1.9 million before returning to the team on a two-year contract last year.
In 2019, Berry appeared in all 16 games for the Steelers and totaled 3,368 yards on 74 attempts (45.5 YPA) to go along with 24 downed inside the 20-yard-line.
Colquitt, 37, is a former third-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2005. He’s played his entire 15-year career in Kansas City and was entering the final year of his three-year, $7.5 million contract when the Chiefs released him back in April.
In 2019, Colquitt appeared in all 16 games for the Chiefs and totaled 2,126 yards on 48 attempts (44.3 YPC) to go along with 21 punts downed inside the 20-yard-line.
