Steelers Sign OT Matt Feiler To One-Year Extension

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Wednesday that they’ve signed OT Matt Feiler to a one-year extension.

“It’s good to get it done,” said Feiler. “Any time you can get it taken care of, it’s a good thing.”

Feiler was in line to be an exclusive rights free agent in the coming months.

Feiler, 25, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Bloomsburg back in 2014. He spent just over a year in Houston before he was waived at the start fo the 2015 season and later signed to the Steelers’ practice squad.

Feiler returned to the Steelers on futures deals each of the past two years and has been on and off of the team’s practice squad during his time in Pittsburgh.

In 2017, Feiler was active for five games.
