The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Thursday that they’ve signed P Jordan Berry to a one-year contract extension.
“It’s pretty exciting to get it all finished, get it all sorted out, and get it done early,” said Berry. “I love being in Pittsburgh so I am excited to have it done. I don’t have to think about it. I can just focus on training and getting ready for next season, which is the most important part of everything.”
Berry, 26, signed on with the Steelers back in 2015 and has been their punter the past three seasons. He was in line to be a restricted free agent in the coming months.
In 2017, Berry appeared in all 16 games for the Steelers and totaled 2,586 punt yards on 64 attempts (40.4 YPA), 39.8 average net yards and 26 punts inside the 20-yard line.
