The Steelers announced Thursday they have re-signed RB Darrin Hall to the practice squad and released LB Sutton Smith one day after bringing him back on.

Hall, 22, wound up signing on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Pittsburgh following the 2019 NFL Draft. He agreed to a three-year, $1.755 million contract, but was waived soon after.
Hall spent time with the Bengals and Packers during the preseason this year. This is his second stint on Pittsburgh’s practice squad.
During his college career at Pittsburgh, Hall rushed 381 times for 2189 yards and 21 touchdowns, and caught 38 passes for 267 yards and one touchdown.
