The Pittsburgh Steelers officially signed RB Dreamius Smith their practice squad on Monday.
The Steelers will need to make a roster move as they’re currently at the 10-man limit. Here’s how their practice squad looks right now:
- DL Johnny Maxey Jr
- WR Demarcus Ayers
- DE Caushaud Lyons
- LB Travis Feeney
- DB Jacob Hagen
- RB Karlos Williams
- OT Matt Feiler
- OT Keavon Milton
- WR Marcus Tucker
- RB Brandon Brown-Dukes
The player to watch for the Steelers is obviously RB Karlos Williams, who is facing another suspension.
Smith, 24, wound up signing on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia back in May. However, he was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.
Smith was on and off of the Chargers’ practice squad last year and was cut loose with an injury designation coming out of the preseason. After later reverting to the Chargers’ injured reserve list, San Diego elected to cut him loose with an injury settlement before the regular season.
In 2015, Smith appeared in two games for the Chargers, but didn’t’ receive a single carry.
