The Pittsburgh Steelers officially signed Wisconsin QB Bart Houston and WR Canaan Severin to contracts on Wednesday.
- The Steelers also waived LB Akil Blount and QB Nick Schuessler.
Houston wound up going undrafted out of Wisconsin a few weeks ago. Houston took part in the 49ers’ minicamp and recently tried out for the Steelers.
During his four-year college career at Wisconsin, Houston threw for 1,540 yards while completing 65.1 percent of his passes to go along with nine touchdowns and five interceptions over the course of 25 games.
