Steelers Sign Second-Round Pick DB Senquez Golson

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced the signing of second-round pick DB Senquez Golson on Tuesday.

The Steelers have now locked up four of their eight draft picks from this year’s rookie class.

According to OverTheCap.com, Golson is projected to receive a four-year contract worth $4,156,126 and includes a signing bonus of $1,282,636.

Pittsburgh is obviously looking to get younger in their secondary now that they’ve moved on from veteran CB Ike Taylor and S Troy Polamalu, so there will be plenty of opportunity for Golson in the coming years.

During his four years at Ole Miss, Golson recorded 136 tackles, six tackles for a loss, a half sack, 16 interceptions, one defensive touchdowns and 19 pass defenses.
