Steelers Sign Veteran RB Stevan Ridley

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Tuesday that they’ve signed veteran RB Stevan Ridley to a contract and placed RB James Conner on injured reserve.

Ridley, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Patriots back in 2011. He played out his rookie contract before signing a one-year, $1.25 million contract with the Jets back in April of 2015.

Ridley would later join the Lions last year and had a brief stint with the Colts before signing on with the Falcons last October. Unfortunately, he was cut loose after another just a month or so in Atlanta.

The Broncos signed Ridley to a contract at the start of training camp but he was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason. The Vikings signed Ridley to a contract a few months ago only to cut him loose soon after.

In 2016, Ridley appeared in one game for the Falcons and recorded just seven yards on three carries.
