Update:
The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Monday that they’ve officially signed DT Cavon Walker to a one-year contract.
Damond Talbot of NFL Draft Diamonds reports that the Steelers are signing XFL DT Cavon Walker to a one-year contract for the 2020 season on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Rich Cimini reports that the Steelers are also signing OL Jarron Jones of the New York Guardians.
Walker, 25, wound up going undrafted out of Maryland back in 2018. He later signed a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Bears, but was waived coming out of the preseason.
The Chiefs later signed Walker to a futures contract the following year, but he was once again waived at the start of the regular season. From there, Walker signed on with the New York Guardians of the XFL.
During his one season in the XFL, Walker recorded 19 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and nine quarterback hits over the course of 10 games.
