Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Steelers have placed a second-round tender on RFA OL B.J. Finney.
This will cost the Steelers $3.095 million for the 2019 season, but ensure that they would receive a second-round pick if he signs a contract with another team.
Finney, 27, wound up signing on with the Steeler as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas State back in 2015. He was, unfortunately, waived at the start of the 2015 season and later signed to the Steelers’ practice squad.
Pittsburgh brought Finney back on an exclusive rights contract last year.
In 2018, Finney was active for all 16 games for the Steelers and played 164 total snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
