Still No Progress Between The Patriots & Wes Welker

Tom Curran of CSN New England reports that the Patriots and WR Wes Welker have made “no progress” regarding a long-term extension.

This isn’t really all that surprising considering that the Patriots have shown no indication that they’re willing to commit to Welker in the long-run since they franchised him weeks ago.

Welker is still only 31 year’s old so he has some productive years left. New England could be waiting until after the draft to start negotiations with him but, obviously, no guarantees.
