It’s always interesting to poll ourย readers after a notable trade to see who they feel did better in the deal, and we officially have our first trade ahead of tomorrow’s deadline with the Texans sending LT Duane Brown to the Seahawks in return for CB Jeremy Lane, a 2018 fifth-round pick and a 2019 second-round pick.
The Seahawks are expected to sign Brown to an extension that will likely help them fit him under their cap while adjusting his 2018 compensation. Either way, this is a big upgrade for Seattle a major position of need.
As for the Texans, they get a veteran cornerback with size to go along with a high pick in 2019 and late-round selection next year, so this will help offset the draft picks they gave up to get QB Deshaun Watson back in April to some degree.
It’s an interesting trade in which you could make solid cases for either team, so we’ll put it you: Which team got the better end of this deal?
