Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Texans have claimed RB Andre Ellington off of waivers from the Cardinals on Tuesday.
The Cardinals tried to move Ellington to receiver this summer before later moving him back to running back.
Ellington, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2013. He played out his rookie contract with the Cardinals before returning to Arizona on a one-year, $905,000 contract this past March.
The Cardinals elected to waive Ellington on Monday.
In 2017, Ellington has appeared in eight games for the Cardinals and rushed for 53 yards on 15 carries (3.5 YPC) to go along with 33 receptions for 297 yards receiving and one touchdown.
