Texans Designate S A.J. Moore & TE Kahale Warring To Return From IR

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans have designated TE Kahale Warring and S A.J. Moore to return from injured reserve on Monday.

This opens a three-week window of time for the Texans to activate them from injured reserve and add them to their 53-man roster.

Moore, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Ole Miss back in 2018. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Patriots, but was waived a few months later.

The Texans later claimed Moore off of waivers and he’s been in Houston ever since.

In 2020, Moore has appeared in three games for the Texans and recorded seven tackles and no interceptions.

Warring, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Texans back in 2019 out of San Diego State. He’s in the second year of his four-year, $3,412,204 rookie contract that included an $892,204 signing bonus.

In 2020, Warring has been active for one game, but has yet to catch a pass.

During his college career at San Diego State, Warring recorded 51 receptions for 637 yards (12.5 YPC) and eight touchdowns.
