Texans Expected To Start QB Case Keenum In Week 16

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports mentions that although HC Bill O’Brien is delaying an announcement regarding who the starting quarterback will be for Sunday’s game against the Ravens, the overall expectation is that they will ultimately go with  Case Keenum.

The Texans signed Keenum off of the Rams’ practice squad earlier in the week, despite the fact that they have Thad Lewis currently on their roster.

Keenum previously played for the Texans, but they were running Gary Kubiak‘s offense at the time. They have since hired Bill O’Brien, so it is interesting to hear that they are more comfortable going with Keenum given the limited amount of time he’s had in their system.

Last year, Keenum appeared in eight games and completed 54.2 percent of his passes for 1,760 yards, nine touchdowns and six interceptions.
