Texans Hosted LB Brandon Marshall On A Visit

Albert Breer reports that the Texans hosted free agent LB Brandon Marshall for a visit on Thursday.

Marshall, 30, is a former fifth-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2012. However, he lasted just over a year in Jacksonville before he was waived at the start of the 2013 season and later signed to the Broncos practice squad.

Denver brought Marshall back for the 2016 season on a one-year, restricted tender before eventually agreeing to a five-year, $34.553 million contract that includes $20 million guaranteed. He was set to make a base salary of $6.5 million for the 2019 season when the Broncos declined his option.

From there, Marshall signed a one-year contract with the Raiders last year but was eventually released during the season.

In 2018, Marshall appeared in 11 games for the Raiders and recorded 42 tackles, and a pass defense.
