Aaron Wilson reports that the Texans promoted OL Elijah Nkansah from their practice squad to the active roster for Week 17.
- Wilson adds that the Texans also waived DE Joel Heath on Saturday.
Nkansah, 24, signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo back in May of last year. He was among Seattle’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and signed onto their practice squad once he passed through waivers unclaimed.
Seattle cut him once again coming out of the preseason and bounced on and off their practice squad before joining the Texans’ taxi squad in October.
He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
