Texans HC Gary Kubiak noted that RB Ben Tate has almost regained the back-up running back position, according to the team’s Twitter account.
Kubiak cites an increased level of conditioning on Tate’s part as the reason why he’s comfortable putting the rusher back into the second spot on the depth chart. Tate would take Justin Forsett‘s spot.
The Texan has experience backing up Arian Foster and has spelled the latter in the past with success; this move will certainly open up the Houston offense.
