According to Aaron Wilson, the Texans have an interview scheduled with Bills pro personnel director Malik Boyd for their open general manager job.
Boyd would be the third candidate interviewed for the job per our 2021 NFL Head Coach & GM Tracker. The others include:
- ESPN analyst Louis Riddick (Interviewed)
- Texans director of personnel Matt Bazirgan (Interviewed)
- Bills director of pro personnel Malik Boyd
The Bills’ recent success has drawn attention around the NFL and Houston could be looking to snare its own piece of it with Boyd, who is a Houston native.
Boyd was a former NFL defensive back who started as a scout with the Colts in 2003. He joined the Cardinals and worked his way up the ranks to assistant pro scouting director before taking his current position with the Bills in 2017.
