The Houston Texans announced Tuesday that they’ve signed P Bryan Anger to a contract and waived ILB Drew Lewis.
- Tom Pelissero reports that Anger receives a one-year, $1 million contract.
Anger, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2012 and was notably selected before Seahawks QB Russell Wilson” href=”http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WilsRu00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker-nfltraderumors.co” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow noopener noreferrer”>Russell Wilson. He played out his rookie contract and later signed a five-year extension worth $17 million with the Buccaneers.
The Buccaneers released Anger in a move back in March that cleared $3 million of cap room.
In 2018, Anger appeared in all 16 games for the Buccaneers and totaled 2,567 punt yards on 57 attempts (45 YPA) to go along with 15 downed inside the 20-yard line.
