James Palmer reports that the Texans are signing former Broncos CB Bradley Roby to a one-year, $10 million contract.
Roby was reportedly drawing interest from a number of teams including the Texans, Browns, Steelers, 49ers, Raiders and Broncos.
Roby, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Broncos back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $6.95 million rookie contract when the Broncos picked up his fifth-year option.
Roby stands to make a base salary of $8.526 million for the 2018 season and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career.
In 2018, Roby appeared in 15 games for the Broncos and recorded 50 tackles, one interception, two forced fumbles and 12 pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 97 cornerback out of 112 qualifying players.
We had him featured in our Top 100 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
