Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans waived DL Albert Huggins on Monday.
Wilson says that if Huggins doesn’t catch on with another team, he’s a “prime candidate” to be re-signed to their practice squad.
Huggins, 23, signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Clemson following the 2019 NFL Draft. He was waived by Houston coming out of the preseason and re-signed to the practice squad.
The Eagles signed Huggins off of Houston’s practice squad before waiving him in November. Huggins was briefly signed by the Patriots, but later returned to the Eagles a month later.
Philadelphia waived Huggins in July and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Texans.
In 2019, Huggins appeared in four games for the Texans adn recorded three tackles and no sacks.
