Texans Waive LB Dayon Pratt With Injury Designation

The Houston Texans officially placed LB Dayon Pratt on waivers Friday with an injury designation.

This clears a roster spot for veteran RB Jordan Todman, who was signed earlier in the day.

Should Pratt pass through waivers unclaimed, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list on Saturday.

Pratt, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina back in May. He stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract.

During his college career at East Carolina, Pratt recorded 101 tackles, 2.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, a recovery and four pass defenses.
