According to Howard Balzer, the Houston Texans brought in free agent S Kurtis Drummond for a workout on Tuesday.
Drummond, 26, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan State back in 2015. He spent a few months on the team’s practice squad before eventually being called up during the 2015 season.
Drummond was in the final year of his three-year, $1.58 million contract when the Texans elected to cut him loose. They re-signed him to their practice squad once he cleared waivers and was eventually promoted to the active roster.
He was among the Texans’ final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
Since becoming a free agent, Drummond has worked out for theย Redskins, Lions, and Colts.
In 2017, Drummond appeared in 15 games and recorded 20 total tackles and one sack.
