Titans Expected To Start Charlie Whitehurst Again In Week 7

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean expects the Titans to give veteran QB Charlie Whitehurst another start in Week 7, despite the progress made by Jake Locker this week.

Terry McCormick mentioned that Whitehurst took the majority of the first-team reps in during practice this week, so this doesn’t as much of a surprise, especially when you consider that Locker is officially listed as questionable.

Whitehurst, 32, has already appeared in three games this season and has thrown for 604 yards on 72 attempts (58.3%) to go along with three touchdowns and an interception.

Locker has missed the past two games due to a thumb injury, but HC Ken Whisenhunt confirmed Monday that he’ll remains the Titans’ starting quarterback when healthy.

Tennessee is up against the Redskins this weekend.
